Web solution is a unique product in the U.S market. It’s very new, and not many consumers are aware of this product, but it’s slowly seeping in to our lives. Calvin Yi, owner of Wevio, develops a proprietary web solution that allows easy website updates and maintenance. He says “Web solution was introduced to the industry 10 years ago but it is now proven to be essential to most small to medium companies such as hotels, real estate companies, restaurants, cafes and etc.” Yi established Wevio as a company producing web design and creative services, but quickly learned the high demands of this web solution need and developed a proprietary web solution. The ‘solution’ allows quick and easy updates to the web content needed by the website owner. It also monitors daily visitors, contacts, and manages your customers’ information.” The lease to use this solution ranges from $20~$200 a month. Aside from the base solution that they offer, there are also custom modifications and functions that a more complex business might require and need –which they’re also capable of doing. The cost of custom functions would cost additional $1000~$10,000+.
When Yi made this web solution 4 years ago, people said he’s better off setting up a gas station. How wrong they were. Wevio acquired some major clients including Hotels, traveling agencies, law firms, restaurants, and schools which totals up to about $2.4 million of revenue last year. “Work hard, and it pays off” says Yi.
Wevio succeeded in targeting niche markets but now wants to go international and plans to open up a branch in Korea. “We are planning to hire excellent talent to develop the web solution continuously.”
Yi obtained an MBA from Ohio State University and shortly upon graduation worked for MCI and Global Crossing and has extensive experience in sales.
